Birth Weight Decline Tied to Rise in Induced Labor

CHICAGO — An increase in labor induction was associated with a decline in mean birth weight and gestational age in an analysis of U.S. Vital Statistics for all (23.5 million) singleton term births between 1992 and 2003 to white non-Hispanic women.
