Lack of Infection Control May Be Tied to Meningitis

Failure to follow established infection control recommendations during the administration of intrapartum spinal anesthesia likely led to the development of bacterial meningitis in two clusters of postpartum women in New York and Ohio, according to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
